Manuel Osborne-Paradis

A richly talented speed skier who is famed for his fun-loving, larger-than-life personality, 'Manny' has three World Cup wins to his name – including his famous victory in Lake Louise, Alta., in 2009. The North Vancouver, B.C. native grew up skiing in Whistler, B.C., but now lives and trains in Calgary, Alta. Manny enjoyed a superb comeback season in 2012-13, narrowly missing a downhill podium in Kvitfjell, Norway, and claiming the Canadian downhill title. During the 2014-15 season Manny nabbed two second-place finishes at the downhill events in Lake Louise and Kvitfjell, Norway. Away from the ski hill, Osborne-Paradis is known for his community work, which includes running an annual ski camp for kids with former teammate, Mike Janyk in Whistler. He is also an avid golfer.
